Everyone's Saying that Hell's the Hippest Way to Go

well, I don't think so, but I'm gonna take a look around...

Joni Mitchell on a lazy Sunday morning, with an entire day of no working! What a grand idea. I think I'm gonna dedicate this morning/early afternoon to records and reading. My own version of "r & r" if you will!

Joni will definitely make a few appearances. There's something about this woman that I'm simply drawn to, maybe it's the stark beauty of her voice or perhaps the apathetic nature of her attitude. She cares, but she doesn't...it's like she's trying to decide what to do...what to think...what to love! And it drives me right up the wall, I love it. Blue will continue to be in the top five albums I've listened to for the rest of my life, and I never go too long without listening to it chronically for a day or a week or even a month.

Alright, this post is actually not a music post, I just couldn't help myself! It's really about my plans to get into shape and stay healthy, hopefully for many years ahead of me. I've decided that for now, a tentative list of aspirations and ideas would be a good idea to center myself. Nothing too detailed, just a list.

Staying Fit Brainstorm Ideas
1. Go vegetarian with the goal of going vegan in a few months/a year.
2. No more eating past 10pm.
3. Eat breakfast.
4. Buy new running shoes.
5. Join Planet Fitness, even though I think they're kind of the Antichrist of gyms.
6. Find gym buddies.
7. Give up pot smoking PERIOD. I haven't smoked in a little over a month, just because I haven't really wanted to much, and it isn't a big deal. I'M DOING THIS BECAUSE OF THE MUNCHIES I GET AFTERWARD. In no way do I advocate anti-marijuana causes. It's just something I need to avoid for a bit so I don't gain 29148925 lbs. Exactly.
8. Start drinking jack and DIET coke, as opposed to jack and coke when I go out! No seriously.

These are mostly things I've been tossing around in my head for awhile now, specifically the vegetarian plan, the gym and quitting weed for awhile. I tend to think things through if it involves lifestyle changes, because I want to make sure I'm mentally prepared for them.

THEY HAVE THEIR OWN PYRAMID AND EVERYTHING!!!

I think I'll set a date of December 1st as my vegetarian diet launch, and I'm initiating the no smoking pot thing immediately. Not that I have in awhile, plus it'll be good to avoid smoking anything, just to solidify my no cigarettes state of mind. All it takes is one slip up and there you are again.

There are a lot of reasons for these changes, and it isn't something I take lightly. If you have any helpful suggestions or even constructive criticism, please let me know!

Well, it's a new week and I think it'll go well! Tune in later for my Highlights of the Week!!
