afrodino presents: She & Him: Volume One
She & Him is a new band consisting of Zooey Deschanel and Mark Ward. IDK who Mark Ward is really other than that he's a musician. Deschanel is who brought me into this band, and man, I love it! Their debut album is most excellent. Sort of reminds me of equal parts twainy folk-country Rabbit Fur Coat (Lewis w/ Watson Twins) and lyric-driven as Knives Don't Have Your Back (Haines). I really love the "olde tyme" vibe. It's just a great retro album, and if you are a:
