THE RULES:
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I'll respond by asking you five personal questions about your character/muse so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the completely honest answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.
Zippy's Five:
1) Ever considered yourself to be in love? (If so, with who?)
Mmm. If I leave out teenage crushes, I'd say there were two times. One was a young woman I met in college and another was a man I knew in Carraroe.
2) Do you have a middle name/what is it?
I do, and it's Laoise. Pronounced LEE-sha, by the by.
3) Name the thing you've done in life so far that you're most proud of.
You would think it would be one of my books, wouldn't you? But I have to say I'm proudest of all the work I did networking several publishing companies to set up a scholarship fund for disadvantaged young writers.
[locked]And that nice public answer comes directly behind the fact that I've saved a life or two with my abilities.[/locked]
4) Name something you're afraid to do.
Die.
5) [locked]How old are you?[/locked]
[locked]Somehow I knew this one was coming. ;) I turned fifty-four in July.[/locked]
Five from Pippa:
1. Where are the questions you should be asking me?
*points downward* ;)
2. How long did you know about Ro's band before he decided to stop being so modest and let everyone else in your family know what he was doing?
Oh, I was in on things fairly early. I think it was only a few months after he got the band together ... you see, a friend of mine was part-owner of Lucid, and they were looking for a replacement for one of their acts. I mentioned the situation to Rory, he asked if I could set Breaker Street up with an audition, and there we were.
3. Do you ever miss living out in the country?
I do sometimes, yes. I try to take a vacation every so often and get out to someplace less urban. Sometimes I'll give Da a hand with some of his jobs, to stay in touch with my roots, I suppose.
4. Favorite place to shop?
My favorites vary according to whim, but I always love browsing Idlewild Books and knocking around the Young Designers' Market on a Saturday.
5. Am I really that much of a fright behind the wheel?
Honestly? Only when you take your eyes off the road to talk with your passenger. That's a bit unnerving.
Abby's Quintet
1. Do you know what that thing wrapped in foil is in the back of the fridge? It's not yet sentient so I didn't throw it out.
Oh my. Depending on which foil package you're talking about, that is either old meatloaf or a chunk of cheddar cheese. If it's evolving, I suspect the meatloaf.
2. [locked] What was it like growing up with two relatively sane parents that wanted you? [/locked]
[locked] In truth, I had five parents, not two. Though you can feel free to argue my brothers' relative sanity one way or the other, even Tadhg was fifty-four by the time I arrived. Many was the time I cursed that overabundance, especially during my teenage years, when every one of them seemed over-cautious and overprotective to me. But when it came down to it, I had support and love, even if the forms they took often infuriated me. [/locked]
3. Have you ever wanted to be an only child?
Hah. Oh yes. See the above answer.
4. Why Robin?
I don't mean to sound disingenuous, m'dear, but why Robin what? Why do I enjoy spending time with him? Why do I consider him a friend? Why do I find him so charming? [locked] I will say that with Robin I can indulge the more fey side of my nature without fear of hurting him being misunderstood. [/locked]
5. You know I didn't mean it when I said 'jump up your own ass and suffocate', right? It was just a long, bad day and I was tired.
Of course I knew, Abby. If my job had even half the stress levels of yours, I'd probably do much the same.
OOC note to muns: If anyone who reposts wants to ask any OOC, not for muse knowledge questions about Cait, go right ahead. Or you can ask in a comment here; I'm flexible! ^_^
