I am so pumped right now. Originally, I was going to stay here at UW-Fox to finish out an associate's degree before transfering. Though when I looked into it, there really aren't classes worth taking that would be relevant towards the majors I'm thinking about. One of my friends here, LeAnn, mentioned something about UW-Milwaukee and how they have this awesome program. Me being curious, I checked into it.
YOU CAN EARN A CELTIC STUDIES DEGREE. LET BARROWMAN EXPRESS MY FEELINGS.
THIS IS EXCITING. I am now seriously considering transferring so I can work towards earning one. I've always been fascinated by the history and such of my ancestors, so this would be a fantastic opportunity.(For those of you who don't know this, I'm mostly Scottish/Irish. with a wee bit of other heritages thrown in) Plus, you get to learn Gaelic, annnnnnd. Two of the required classes involve study abroad. (Which I wanted to do to begin with. Even before I learned about this).
So I'm pretty sure that come Spring 2011, I will be transferring to the UW-Milwaukee campus to begin the Celtic Studies degree. I've also decided that I'm probably going with History as my major, because many of the Celtic Studies class involve pre-requisite classes in anthropology and general history classes. Though there are also many literature based ones as well. So there's still a chance I may go with English. Hmm. I'll have to wait and see how it pans out.
Plus it would be fantastic if I did transfer because LeAnn told me we could be Roomies. \o/ That dorm room is going to be the most nerdy/geeky utopia of awesome eveeer \o/
