I love the rain
I haven't updated in a while because I'm going from MC to LYST every day with about a half hour in between. But now that everyone is suddenly obsessively LJing every second, I feel the need to keep up.
LYST was actually fun today. It was a MAJOR MAJOR relief because we were supposed to run the whole show, and my singing part in the second act fails at life and it's embarrassing, but we did NOT get to the second act.
We spent about two hours just standing around in our costumes, and I discovered that mine is basically a giant potato sack. Everyone else has little girly peasant tops and skirts, and I have this massive beast of a garment that flops around when I dance. Hopefully they're taking it in.
After standing around in costumes we ran first act, which was HORRIBLE. But funny to watch. And I kept getting a mental image of Bogart slowly peering out from behind one of the rocks, which didn't help my concentration too much. Giulia found out today that Garret had the same part as hers when he was in kindred. Which now that I think about it is really funny. Giulia and Garret are clearly destined for each other.
After LYST I went to Friendlies with Lauren and Phil, fun stuff, and now I'm exhausted. These days tire me out, but it's good tired, I'm actually doing stuff. MC is... weird... but good. It's surreal being one of the ninth-graders, but at the same time it feels natural. It's so easy to be back in the arena, it still feels like home.
