Okay, so I missed the first 6 minutes 'cos my piano was being delivered (ye gads! haven't lived with my piano since I was nineteen!), so I'm really really looking forward to seeing this in full because... *fanfare* after two weeks of being despondent about my Show, I FUCKING LOVED THAT!!
Can we see Aaron (and his golem - which ROCKED, btw, and the dude playing him was wonderful) again? PLEASE, Show. Please please please please. He was awesome and I loved all the stuff about his responsibility and his having the supernatural suddenly in his face and his stepping up. He reminded me of Chuck. More of him and this, please!
I'm still not sold on this Men Of Letters thing and I'm really not sold on this road-movie show suddenly deciding to settle down in a home base (*spit* *curse*), but I found it all way more palatable here than I had feared. Me being me, I naturally found all the stuff about the Jewish secret society WAY more interesting than these Men Of Letters geezers. Soon as the Jewish lot were mentioned, I was wondering about the passing mention we once had about the boys' ancestor Moishe Campbell (of the New York Campbells *grin*) and whether he may have had any connection to these kick-arse Jews.
Here's one (of the many reasons) I love Bedlund's approach to episodic television - no matter how much he manages to pack into an episode, he still manages to find a line here and a line there to touch on other people who populate the universe, even if they're not appearing in this episode. In his episodes, the Winchesters don't go about their business in a complete vacuum (side-eyes LARP & the Real Girl alllllllll over again *twitch*).
And at the end of the day - Dean and Sam shooting undead Nazi necromancer zombies in the head together! Yesplease!
We've moved to the new house, btw. This is my first time properly online in almost a week. Oh and the back-up laptop that I've been using since my laptop died in July? It is now practically dead, too. Technology is not my closest companion right now. :-/
Still, that likely means I'll be getting a new laptop AND an Impala for my birthday.
