I picked up G from daycare this evening, and his teacher told me all about how he recognizes all the numbers. (They had foam domino-items with numbers on one side and dots on the other or something.) He chimes in, "I found double 1!!" and zooms off. She was impressed that he got the concept of double as well. Then she said, "I have to show you this, I saved it for you" and pulled this piece of paper out of the closet. "He told me he wrote his name."
"That's a G! I didn't help him at all!" She was so excited. (As am I; he's just turned 3 in December! And we've had struggles with N about writing & drawing, although that seems to be easing up somewhat now.)
So tonight he's been telling us all the letters in his name. He's been reading specific letters in signs for several months now, tonight I noticed him reading each letter in the bedtime book. He's also been doing mazes in the dry-erase books and loving them so I guess all the practice is paying off!
Proud mommy has to share. :)
