dr appointment today. i didn't go very well. i weighed in at 154, which means 6 pounds in 3 weeks. we had a new temp nurse names martha, who was very nice and made me feel relaxed. but we had to wait 2 hours to see the dr.
and when she finally came in to see us, she had to hurry because another patient was going into labor. i talked to her about my swelling (which has hung around for 2 weeks straight). the nurse listened to his heartbeat (which i guess was ok this time, they didn't say anything was abnormal), and he punch and kicked at the little microphone thingy and squirmed to get away from it. i laughed. go figure he'd do that. anyway, so then the dr. goes to measure my belly. and has some trouble. she can't find the top of my uterus, so she can't do an accurate measurement. she also said that even if she could find it, he would be measuring too small, so we need to do an ultrasound next week.
scary.
2 weeks ago, he was measuring perfectly. and now? he's too small?
my mom said the same thing happened to her with my sister. and now look at her... she's taller than i am and has bigger boobs. damn i got ripped off. lol
then to make things worse, the nurse was testing my urine and says, "looks like theres some protein". now this is why in the first trimester i had to take the 24 pee test. so my doc got quite concerned. and said that i have all the acute signs of preeclampsia, just not the high blood pressure (which measured fine this time) and now possibly the protein in the urine. so they are sending it to the lab for testing.
talked to my doctor about work, and if i should be working or not. she said she'd call me tomorrow and let me know if i was ok to keep working. if i don't hear from her by 12 i'm supposed to call and remind her. which i know is going to happen anyway, they never call when they are supposed to.
i forgot to tell her that i lost my hearing in my right ear sunday. all day i couldn't hear a damn thing, then the left one started to go but was ok at the end of the day.
i hate this. i hate how they leave it so open i hate not having answers and i hate not knowing if he's ok or not. he's moving just fine so i have to hope he's ok. the good news is that she said he's finally moved positions and headed down, or atleast as far as she can tell.
