... and getting colder tomorrow.
ETA: Three hours later, the picture is much brighter. I put on warmer clothes, wrapped a scarf around my neck so the wind wasn't blowing down into my coat, and a pair of boots, turned on the car and while it was thawing shovelled a path to the car and around it and then went out for milk, eggs etc AND topped off the gas tank on the way home. Ate a home made chocolate chip cookie washed down with a steaming hot cup of coffee (4 liters of milk in the fridge so I'm in caffeine heaven) and life is MUCH better.
I was lucky to get my snow shovelled yesterday.
Even if it was before the snowfall had ended, and there was a lot of blowing snow, enough of the front was done that I should be in compliance with the local bylaws re: clearing pathway for pedestrians, postal workers.
Around 11am today, I went out to do a fast clean up of some of the drifting of the path from the sidewalk and up the steps.
I was fooled by the sunlight. Cause it is COLD, SO COLD. And it's going to be colder tomorrow. (The temps below are in Celsius.)
I don't care (OK, I DO, but I've got a bit of a cushion) that work's been non-existent this month in the period between the post-holiday shortage of workshops and pre-final exams and that I've been sick all last week. I'm NOT taking any jobs for Monday. I was going to go to the grocery store around 1 or 2 pm so the fast run out to the front was in preparation for having to go out the back to clear off my car and the area around it. It is NOT happening. I'm hunkering down and keeping warm.
