Funny I would never order a pint of Guinness to drink on its own but I do like using it for cooking (such as like in your stew recipe there) and baking (in cake I always make at X-mas)

I had a couple of friends who loved the stuff and got me to try it. I could only manage half and at the end I was nursing it (it was served room temp I think cause I remember a lot of foam) so long that it got even more warm and I couldn't choke the rest of it down.

Oh, that stew loks so good! I could use a bowl for lunch today...

Macarons are SO TRCIKY! I haven't ever tried making them, prolly never will. They are a delight to eat, mind you.

Also, am I the only one who gets super-annoyed when people call them "macaROONS?" Totally not the same thing, lol!

I understand typos in posts but actually calling them macaroons in person ... I have to bite my tongue. :)

The stew was very good.

Honestly, it makes me crazy... I always have to correct people... I do try and keep it friendly: "macaROONS are coconut - macaRONS are these cute little things we are eating." So far people giggle, and learn to pronounce them properly.

I wish I could claim they were perfect but they're getting there. :)
