More Sourdough and a Turkey Soup

Never say never ... to sourdough starter.

Soup is a great way to use up leftover diced turkey meat, especially the white meat which can dry out quickly.

For this creamy turkey soup, I used potato gnocchi, and chopped baby spinach and grated carrots for colour, flavour and added nutrition.

....yesss. :)

Not the best shot to post but I was in a hurry to eat it. And remarkably fast to throw together.

Snicker - and you think witches brooms are beyond your skill set. There is nothing beyond your skill set, my friend.

The soup looks fabulous, so much better than my broccoli cheddar soup from last night. And these cinnamon rolls - *yum*

So glad I'm not closer or I'd be inviting myself to dinner all the time.

The broom assembly requires a delicate touch. What IS that green thread tied around the cheese?

Loved the soup too. It didn't need the buns but I ate them together anyway. The cinnamon rolls WERE dangerous even if the sourdough was not my favourite dough to use for them. Still, with enough frosting on top ... ate 2, gave away 8 and have 2 more in the fridge. :)

I'm thinking a chive.

It's good that you have people to share with. I'm sure they just hate to see you coming with something in your hands - Not!

I ended up calling my grass cutter at around 5pm on Sunday. He and his wife did the weeding in the front garden bed(?) and at the back while I was out so I wanted to let him know that he could come over and pick up the money. The warm rolls were the incentive for him to come over that day. :)

A bag of the frozen dill-onion buns also found a home with him.

I have 3 tubs of the soup in my freezer so I don't have to make another batch for a while. :)

I like to bake. It's a lot more 'creative' than my usual doings in the kitchen.

Thank you. Sometimes I get inspired to cook. Sometime not ... like today when I was supposed to make Guiness Beef Stew and sugar cookies. Oh well, at least I made the sugar cookie dough. :)
