Happy High
I went and saw My Chemical Romance on Monday in San Antonio. I was super excited all weekend, and honestly, I can't remember the last time I was this happy!!! The band was incredibly awesome! Muse opened and were definitely great to hear, but I was really only there for one purpose. MCR played their enitre Black Parade album in order, which I didn't like because I can just hear that in the car, but then I realized that their album is put together in a perfect way, so if they had mixed the songs up, it wouldn't sound right. Then they did a stage change and Played a bunch of songs off of Sweet Revenge. They also celebrated on of their crew guy's birthday with a full Mariachi Band they picked up in San Antonio and a pinata. They also talked about the Virginia Tech shooting and Gerard made a great speech about getting help if you feel depressed and stuff. The band is really really good about that. After the speech the had a moment of silence in remembrance of those that VT lost.
The ride down was pretty nice and eventful. Lots of talking between Jeff, Sheri, and myself. We listened to some fun music while driving/getting lost through downtown SA. We had some time to kill so we went "sight seeing" although we all know the sights. We were originally going to eat at the Magic Time Machine, but it didn't open until 4:59 (yes that's what the sign said) and we were there at 4:00. So we went and ate at the Cracker Barrel instead, then bought candy sticks for later. The ride home was pretty uneventful. Jeff crashed and Sheri and I talked for a while, a little bit deliriously which made it all more interesting.
I was dead tired last night. I did alright throughout my classes, but once I got home I crashed on the couch for i don't know how long. Apparently I paused Miami Ink that was recording on my tv (i don't remember doing this) and when I woke up I had a large Jesus tattoo staring at me from the screen. It was a little weird. I just moved to my bed and crashed there. I screwed up this morning with my alarm clocks and ended up waking up too late to make it to class, which sucks because I think my grade gets affected now, but what could I do. I went and layed out by the pool for an hour and read for kid lit, then randomly met up with Julia to help her pick out a dress for O&W, then we stuffed ourselves at California Pizza at the Domain and had some girl talk time. She got a puppy, I'm jealous.
I just can't get over actually seeing My Chemical Romance live!!! I'm soooo freaking happy that Jeff and I decided to go when we didn't even really know each other, because otherwise I most likely would not have gone at all. WOW Amazing concert!!! I want to go see them again. Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait before they come back to Texas!!! Yippeeeeee!
