Doctor Who
1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
One of the first people I've met online, has always been a huge fangirl. This was way before the new series (2001-2001~ish). I always thought "what could possibly be interesting about a show that old?". But after hearing how good New!Who was I picked it up myself, and I was hooked. I still haven't seen Old!Who, but did I mention my friend is coming to visit again in about two weeks? :D :D
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Yes, definitely. This fandom is huge and I'm not all that active in it, but I'll be watching a commenting as long as the show is on, and probably afterwards.
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
Favourite episodes would be Moffat's eps in the RTD era. And most of Series 4. And the last few episodes of the latest series.
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
More or less. Not actively in any dedicated comms, but with my flist, and on tvrealm.
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
It's already HUGE, but yes. I think that more fans are always welcome, in any fandom.
Stargate: Atlantis
1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
This one started with me catching the second part of the pilot on a local TV station, and by the end I knew I wanted MORE. I'd seen a few eps of SG1 here and there before, but Atlantis got me right away. I've since become a fan of all things Stargate.
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Yes. Because of i've met some really wonderful people who love the show just as much as I do, whom I hope I'll still be friends with a long time from now. Fandom is just as much about the people, or even more so than abut the show.
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
Rising is one of the best pilots I've ever seen. The Storm/The Eye. The Siege (all three). The Real World. Common Ground. Duet. The Long Goodbye. Oh, hell, I'll end up listing about 20 or so.
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
YES. Most of my graphic output over the last two years has been SG or SGA related.
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
Yes, definitely. It's a great and very friendly fandom. I came in late - after SGA was cancelled actually, and missed any shipper drama and such. I even missed most of the wank about the cancellation.
Sherlock
1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
This one I picked up myself. Not sure why, I barely knew anything about the show when I did, but 15 minutes into A Study In Pink I knew I was absolutely going to love this show. I've watched the (far too few) episodes so many times.
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Yes. I've also now read all of the original stories/books, so I think I'm in it for the long run.
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
A Study In Pink and A Scandal In Belgravia are my favourites. The Great Game. Bloody hell, the show only has six, and I love them all.
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
HELL YES. It's unreal how much time I spend on sherlockbbc_fic every day. I may or many not have a serious addiction. I even visit tumblr.
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
YES. RIGHT NOW.
