This is my SGA icon. I love the colouring and I love the design of city itself. That's why I chose this icon. I also love the fact that it's home for all of the characters, hence the keyword "Home". I'll use this icon on SG related posts and posts in which I talk about my home.
This is my default icon. My username around the interwebs is usually blackpanther or a_blackpanther. This icon was made for me by fireferal when I first decided to use this username. So I probably have this icon since 2003 or something. I love the posture of the animal in the pic: elegant, sleek, regal. I also love the faint lighting from the moon. I've thought about changing this icon, but I could never bring myself to.
This is one of my Criminal Minds icons (somehow, most of my icons seem to be CM icons). I chose it because I love the original scene the screencaps are from. It's a long continuous shot of the team eating and drinking and joking at a round table, and if I remember correctly it is completely silent (there are no actual lines, just music). It just really brings a sense of happiness and family. You very rarely get to see the characters smile in this show, especially Hotch (the first one on the right). He's got a beautiful smile. I’ll use it on CM stuff or when I talk about something interesting that makes me think “that’s funny”.
I got this icon two years ago when I took over crimialxminds. I got it from the previous owner because I needed one. I like it because it’s colourful and pretty and it draws attention. I’ll use it when posting something modly on criminalxminds or hotch_prentiss . I'm thinking of getting another one, maybe one of Hotch doing his patented death glare. But I haven't found the right screen cap yet.
Meet Marvin. He's the clinically depressed robot from The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He's snarky, mean, and complains all the time, and he's hilarious. I love all things sci-fi and, even though most fans of the book hate the movie, I loved the movie. It's whimsical, funny and I love how they portrayed Marvin and their interpretation of the actual "Guide to the Galaxy". I'll use it either when I really am down or when I’m being geeky or ironic about something. "I hate my life" is Marvin's catchphrase.
