If you haven't watched Criminal Minds untill now, now is the time to start

This episode? Definitely one of their best, if not THE best. Because they showed how the team works together seamlessly. Everyone had almost equal screen time, they set up Gideon's leave perfectly.

I knew he wasn't going kill himself. That would have been OOC: searching for his belief in happy endings is just  like him. I'd expect nothing more, nothing less from the guy that keeps a pic of someone he saved in his wallet.

Every scene seemed to showcase the relationship between the characters or the character's best qualities. They managed to show why they are a team and why they work so well together. Hotch didn't have to say "This is why you shouldn't break up the team", it was more than obvious.

Reid and Morgan worked really well together coming up with that profile, each using their own ideas and personal experience to help them. Because you know Reid was talking about himself when he said the bit about the kind trying to impress the other parent. Morgan was trying to profile Strauss when he showed her the crime scene photos on the plane. Gracia was brilliant, and showed she can "read" other people too. Giving Hotch the file showed him how much he wanted to be in the BAU. One of the best scenes was definitely the one where Strauss calls Garcia and she answers with "Talk dirty to me". Morgan's face was absolutely priceless. And JJ's. And Erin's. JJ was also brilliant in this episode. To be honest i disliked er for most of season 1 and 2, but she's growing on me. She's showing she's not just a pretty face.

Prentiss was brilliant this episode. She chose to resign rather than spill dirt on Hotch to Strauss. And we got to see her apartment. And i think she finally understood that she is part of that team, and i think Strauss got to see that too. I loved her "So you have no authority over me" and volunteering to go into that house.

Hotch was also awesome. Jack's grown a bit much since we last him hasn't he? The scene at the beginning with Hotch and Morgan was brilliant. But Morgan's "I may not want to hang out with you" was kind of unnecessary. Hotch's alright and he knows it. And i think he was truly concerned about Strauss being in the field. I also loved his scene with Prentiss. That's why he's a good profile and an awesome leader. He figured out what Strauss told Emily immediately. And he knew Emily didn't really want to leave the BAU. And he kind-of knows about Reid, but he's afraid of confronting him! Which seems to fit with everything they've set up. He's seen the signs but wouldn't really believe Reid would do it. And he's shown he's shown he's more than a capable leader. Morgan had a small ankle holster: Hotch does lead by example. I liked Haley. I even loved her. She seemed to fit with Hotch, and in the second part of season two she seemed to have come to terms with his job and him not being there very often. But now? I really thought she understood that being a profiler made him a better dad and that being dad made him a better profiler. Taking Jack and leaving is just cruel of her and it will destroy Hotch. There's a lot of drama coming his way. Especially since they've thrown a hint that she might be cheating on him. Which is totally out of the left field, but i trust the writers.

As much as i want to hate her and say that she's evil, i kind-of felt for Erin Strauss. I definitely understood her. But her trying to eliminate Hotch as her competition for Director of the FBI was just playing dirty. They've shown her human side. I loved Hotch telling her "Why would i ever want to leave the BAU". But the promo pics for other episodes suggest she might not be done with her little vendetta.

All in all i think it was a very well written episode, and one of their best. They beat both Private Practice and Bionic Woman in audiences which is awesome, and i think it's going to stay like this for the rest of the season.
