You know, I'd always wondered exactly how the transceiver manages to receive its initial signal while still in the Vortex, and whether or not I could expand the range of communicative abilities from it. I'd like to conduct an experiment in which I leave a specifically tuned device in capable hands, and make a short jump with one of my own in hand as I go. Now, I know what happened the last time there was a 'short jump,' but I assure you that was unintentional, and I've got no intention of making one until I've got this circuit completely repaired.
