Activity #16: Happy Hour
This month we made icons for out happy hour because who doesn't love a happy hour? So, we made icons with certain requirements for a number of really famous and delicious cocktails. So we made the most complex icons (in the colors of the cocktail, of course).

Honey, someday when you're a little older you will be introduced to something that is extremely seductive but fickle. A fair-weather friend who seems benign but packs a wallop like a donkey kick, and that is the Long Island iced tea. The Long Island iced tea makes you do things that you normally wouldn't do, like lifting your skirt in public or calling someone you normally wouldn't call at really weird times. (Lorelai Gilmore)
Duh, icons with textures, colors, techniques and pretty much anything else that other makers make look so easy but are actually harder to accomplish than expected is what we were going for. For the cherry on top, we iconned villainy characters that seemed friendly at first but turned out to be rather deceitful.

So, we made girly icons. Sexy icons. PINK icons.

This one was a little more interpretative: we had to icon a situation that may have seemed bad at first but actually led to something good. Because of the different variations margaritas come in, we could use our own style and go wild.

Needless to say, our icons are about balance, too. Balance between complementary colors, blocks and so on. At the same time, pale colors could be included but didn't have to be.

A martini please, shaken, not stirred. (James Bond)
Our icons focus on characters from law enforcement. Officers, lawyers, agents but also characters who enfore the law without officially working for the government or at a law firm. At the same time, negative space was required.
