New Project
This is one of my writing weekends. Yeah, okay, every weekend is a writing weekend, but my Official Writing Weekends(tm) are spend down in Portland with simonepdx. Saturdays we meet up with flamfoohoyden and coreolis to have some girl time, and community writing time ... after having breakfast noshes, of course!
I love Portland weekends.
simonepdx and I are knee-deep in our next story, this one being a paranormal mystery/thriller. It makes me completely happy as we get to play with crime scene stuff and other criminal justice goodness (my favorite!!) Besides, the characters are teh hawt, and are awfully fun even if they're too serious for their own good.
Today, we had crime scene #3, a reporter getting a face-full, a detective wondering if the hawt new guy is very bad news, and her partner in crime-solving wondering if she's lost her ever-lovin' mind. We also figured out who our murderer is, and why! Wheee!
I'm going to try to keep a running word count for this process, just because I love metrics. Not counting today's work (because it's not done), our 1st draft is at:
