Coffee Geekery

I just made the most amazing cup of coffee ...

And I did it with my long-lost and now-found mokka pot and my little milk frother do-hickey. It's SO good!

This is in service of trying to figure out how to have my intense soy latte at home in the AM, so I only have the one cup a day, and possibly decaf at that ... instead of a couple of cups of brewed plus another $5 to Starbucks later on.

I think I have found brewing magic.

Ooooh, maybe it's so sweet because I'm using Starbuck's Holiday Blend (formerly known as Christmas Blend) and it has aged Sumatra in it, which has an earthy sweetness to it when brewed as espresso. The soy milk doesn't hurt either.

Someone knows their coffee waaaaay too well. That's what you get when you've been an old-school barista in a previous life.

Now if the dough for the cinnamon pecan rolls will rise, then I can finish those up and be done with cookery for the night.

Mmmm. Food.
