A Buzzy on both your houses!

Which work of Shakespeare was the original quote from?

... because there is nothing that confers greater blessing than having a Buzzy perched on your roof.

The devil can cite Scripture for his Buzzy.

Which work of Shakespeare was the original quote from?

This is true. He comes over and does this, like, all the time. It gets really boring when he recites the 'begats'.

Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine Buzzy, and sometimes voices.

Which work of Shakespeare was the original quote from?

True, but only when I don't take take my meds.

The Peanut has his first man hair. He very proudly told the Hubbee. Then the Hubbee told me, which embarrassed the boy into hiding in his room. The fact that we were laughing hysterically at his "DAAAAAADDDDDYYYYYYY, how couuuuulllllddddd you?" probably didn't help. My baby is growing up too fast!

The Bean, on the other hand, seems to have developed OCD behaviors, mostly an uncontrollable need for sugar that leads to her stealing (either treats or the money to buy them) among other things. This has been going on for a while. We tried the usual parent things, then took her to a doctor to make sure it wasn't physical. She starts seeing a child psychologist on Monday. The first guess is that this is, of course, all my fault. No, the psychologist didn't say that, but that's what it comes down to - that my illness has her feeling frightened and out of control, so she turns to sugar for comfort. Am I totally self-absorbed if I point out that I already felt bad enough about how F'd up my life has gotten and really didn't need to feel guilty about passing the F'dedness on to my other baby?

And more memes:

First line of p.45 of the nearest book (depending which of four, equidistant shelves/piles you prefer) says:
"The emergent individuality of children could be expressed in personal storage."
OR "It was not only the disposal of a man's land to which a collateral heir could object, for if a personal estate were large enough, its disposal could lead to equal discontent."
OR "From a comparative perspective, a remarkable feature of the Turkish genocide of Armenians was its immediate documentation by the accounts of eyewitnesses and of contemporary analysts."
OR "At the door he turned and said, 'coming to see me have my bath'?"

I have been redeemed by The House at Pooh Corner.

This is NotBuzzy:

You Are A Hornbeam Tree

You are a reserved person, looking in from the outside.

Naturally attractive, you take good care of your looks.

You are not egoistic, and you make life as comfortable as possible.

You look for kindness in others - though you are seldom happy with yourself.

A bit mistrusting and unsure, you dream of being swept away by someone unusual.

Interesting. I'm not sure "reserved" describes any aspect of me, you know?

Buzzy, on the other hand,

You Are A Pine Tree

You love agreeable company, peace, and harmony.

Compassionate and friendly, you love to help others.

A natural poet, you have a very active imagination.

You are very soft on the inside - needing affection and reassurance.

You can fall in love deeply, but you will leave if you feel betrayed.

Active imagination, check. Natural poet, not so much. Needing affection, deep love, and leaving if betrayed, me to a T.
