(no subject)
Hi all! This is Alex from The Calling writing to you for the very first time in my Tour Diary. I'll be writing every week to keep you guys up to date with all the craziness. Right now I'm in Reading Pennsylvania hanging in a creepy hotel with Sean (the guitarist with big blonde curly hair). We just had a little break after three months of touring to go home to LA and spend time with our families for Thanksgiving. So now we're back out doing our thing. We just did a two-month tour with our friends Lifehouse and now we're doing our own shows. It's awesome to be playing a long set every night to people who came just to see us. There's nothing like watching you guys sing along and rock out with us every night...I can't even explain how much that means to us. Thank You.
So I'm going to explain a typical day on the road for me so you all can get an idea of the insanity. I wake up in our tour bus in the parking lot of some hotel in the middle of nowhere. Sean and I go to multiple radio stations and play acoustically and yap, then sometimes in store appearances and more playing. At some point in the day I find a second to eat Wendy's for the 90 millionth time. We end up driving all night for up to 12 hours and the next day it all happens over again...AND I *%#$%#@ Love it! On our off days the band and I go to exciting places like Walmart and the mall (he he he). It's great when we're in cities that are beautiful and we can walk around and shop... we're all clothes whores.
Anyway, December is going to be so much fun because we're only doing radio shows. I get to watch all the other bands play every night, which is my favorite, and of course meet all you guys! Please don't hesitate to come up and talk to me if you want... I would really appreciate it. I'll keep you all posted on the upcoming weeks. There's sure to be crazy stories to tell. I already have a bunch, but I'll save them for next time. Thank you guys for reading this and I'll talk to you soon!
