double going-away parties.

There's a person in my department at work who's leaving, because she got married and is leaving town, and even though we had a wedding-going-away party for her about a month ago, we're having another party next week, more specifically for the going-away part this time. How many going away parties do you need?

Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

The baby cries a lot. That's hard for me, because I have a quiet fetish. But she's cute, so it's ok. Still, I'm looking forward to when she can just tell me what she wants already.

I was trying to install Linux on a specially prepared partition until recently, but it's not as easy as all the Linux fanatics want you to think. First my wireless network thing wasn't supported, and then when I tried to install on the machine with the wired network connection, there was some kind of problem detecting the cd-drive (even though the installation was running from there). What the hell is that about? That was trying to install Ubuntu, which is supposed to be the easiest Lunix distro. So I gave up a little, and then the baby was more work. Now I got another Linux distro called Symphony, also supposed to be easy. Haven't got up the determination to try that one yet.

Oh well--it's not like I gave Bill money for my current OS anyway.

Check out this robotic chair. It takes itself apart and puts itself back together again.
