Well, they did it.
They made me an uncle.
Lest it be forgotten in the sands of time. This will stand as a testament and a constant reminder to all, that on this day, the 19th of November 2004 @ 20:42, Jack Fredrick Trathen was born to John Trathen and Nova Griffiths.
This swaddled babe is solely responsible for turning my parents into grandparents; my sister into a mother, and more importantly, me into an uncle.
Many emotions and thoughts are flowing through me at this moment. But none more-so than,
"Do I get presents for this?" and
"I guess i'm gonna hav'ta haul my ass into town tomorrow to buy my sister a card."
Aaahhh, just kidding.
I doubt i'll make it into town.
Apparently everyone involved is A-OK! Dunno about the weight or anything yet, but i'm expecting a msg tomorrow, with a picture of it (???) attached.
The wonders of technology!
Mom seems especially happy, not sure why. Somekind of a dream to be a grandmother? I dunno. Just glad everything is over, and it'll all be smooth for when I go back to the homestead for christmas.
Yeah, it's over. HA! The fun is just beginning.
