Mostly because of the way you talk about everything so passionately and your beliefs that you show us through talk in such a manner.
I'll admit it now. Upon my first listen of Stargazer: I was not really impressed by it. I think it was a little too repetitive and was a little lacking to keep the listener interested for 4:16 minutes. But then again, I never knew what the meaning of the song was up until now when I read what you wrote. When I listen to it again now with that in mind, I can understand why they did certain things and get a better grasp on why they wanted to produce this particular sound.
I listened to Stargazer: again more carefully this time after I read this. I know lots of fans compare Stargazer: to the last single Senkou and I think one of the reasons is because they judge it on how musically it captured them. Senkou had an energy that took the listener with them on its wild rides. There was a pulse in the songs that really pushed it along. In Stargazer: however, there wasn't really the same amount of push or energy. But now I understand why there isn't the Senkou type of energy because you said it was a thank you song.
When I listen to that song now I can feel like Shou is singing with a smile on his face and like the guitars are singing. I feel that musically, Stargazer: is much cleaner than Senkou. In Stargazer:, the Saga and Nao really kept it together and Saga didn't wander around that much. He really supported the band in a way that many other bassists in the scene neglect to do. I know lots of people think a bassist that never plays the same thing twice and plays lots of funky runs is really cool but I can tell you now that it is definitely not cool. A bassist is supposed to be a kind of behind the scenes person but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be heard at all. You can hear the bass for the most part but I think that if it was a tad louder then it would have been better.
Anyhow, I don't even know how I ended up here but I'll just say that sometimes it's hard for fans to fully judge whether a song is good or bad because they have to judge on what they hear from the composition and raw emotion.
Thank you. I was really upset with people when I wrote this cause all I heard where nasty comments and dislikes and I just really needed to get everything off my chest. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I'm not trying to change that. Its true that a lot of fans compare the two and yes there is a difference and like you so put, many think of how musically is captures them. Many I can understand do not like nor wish to have a more upbeat, light airy song you could say, but the meaning behind it is so much more. It's Shou's way to thank everyone and I'm glad that you now understand the meaning. To think that my little rant changed that makes me very happy actually and a little embarrassed. >////< Actually when I first saw that Saga was the one to compose Stargazer it blew me away and you are right about bassists. They should be more involved and in many bands you can't really tell there's a bassist there. The fact that Saga is so in tune with the rest, that he wishes to shine outside the box makes it wonderful and just goes to show you that Alice Nine has a grasp on their musical talent.
Thank you for your comment X3 It makes me really happy and once again sorry about the giant rant >w< I was really upset with the feedback from GEMINI... OH!! and I've heard that people say something's missing from the new PV.. well all I can say is there are two more parts to the song so I'm sure whatever is missing will be easily returned. Plus this is an experiment with Alice Nine. They want to try a different style of music and widen their horizons and I think that's wonderful. Even if they are missing something here, that doesn't mean it will be gone next time... in fact I'm sure that once again Alice Nine will surprise us <3 Thanks again <3
