i know im supposed to be studying but im hot, hyper, and full of coffee
february has been fantastic thus far and i hope it remains this way. my classes have been going smashingly well and since im ahead in most of my courses ive decided to catch up on some reading.
some of the books include;
Principles of Political Economy by John Stuart Mill. its a 960 page beast but i love his theories and essays and am enjoying the book
The End of Economic Man Havent really read too much. The book challenges some classical laws of economics. it also tries to establish an economics in, "which men and women are not pawns moved by the Invisible Hand...but free human beings". as far as i know it bashes a number of classical economic principles. it also touches upon game theory, money supply, utility, and general equilibrium
Conjuring Hitler: How Britain and America made the Third Reich Im loving it thus far. it focuses on the period between 1870-1946 and looks at all the events that took place from an economics perspective. ill probably take the longest time to finish this one primarily due to the fact that it covers so much. theres a host of people i need to learn more about (especially the remarkable Montagu Norman)
