After having my will to fight the urge to be excited about our concert friday/saturday slain by 5 hours of rehearsal today, I'm happy to announce that the UNH concert choir, accompanied by a small baroque orchestra will be performing St. John's Passion by J.S. Bach this friday at 7pm, and this saturday at 2pm. It's 1.5 hours of german music, and I think we sound good. Tickets are $10 for students(any students, not just UNH'ers), $20 for non-students(I think). It would be beyond hot to see any/all of you there at either of the performances. We've been working our ever widening posteriors off on this piece since January, and the soloists are good shizzle.
In other news since it's been about 2 months since anyone has heard from me on this: I'm 19 now(began and ended the b-day at a club), I've been attempting to get back in shape (running, swimming, avoiding gorging myself/boozing excessively), partied some (again trying to cut back to avoid the freshaman 15, or as it's known in Bow, the freshman 40), got lost in the ghettos of Boston (where street names are no longer things like "West Pine", but rather "Public Alley #____"), got a new puppy (the horned one as I call it), decided I hate HMP 444 with a passion (the hate has died down since they nixed the last 4 writing assignments), met some cool people, found some people were less cool than I thought, tried the new sushi place in Concord (it's ok, but it's no Moritomo, they don't know me at Moritomo because the food sucks), and I miss my Bow folks, and am starting to miss my UNH'ers because I've been so flipping busy (UNH'ers and Bow'ers alike are welcome to visit me at anytime 224 Hetzel Hall)
Much love,
~DK
