So it seems that Donald tweeted that Americans who burn the flag should either go to jail and/or lose their citizenship.
Twenty or so years ago, some of you may recall the big controversy regarding flag burning. My oldest who was around 7 at the time, felt so strongly that this should not be allowed that he dictated a letter that we mailed to then Senator Bill Bradley on his behalf (yes, my son is a bit strange).
But that's because at the age of 7 he didn't understand the nuances of the first amendment. By the age of 14, he did and was rather mortified at his earlier stance.
It's nice to know that the president-elect has the same comprehension of our constitution as a 7 year old and unlike my son, hasn't advanced in that understanding one bit.
