Dawn closed the door, pleased at how quiet she'd been. Mom was downstairs, Dad was at work and Buffy wouldn't be home for hours.

I always liked the fanwank that Buffy's asylum trip only happened in the Dawn-insert 'verse, but this really twists the knife.
