For god knows how long, I am often complaining about my shoulder hurting and how heavy may bag is, yadda, yadda... So one day, when I was out with Le BF and I complained about my shoulder for the nth time, he was like:
"What do you carry in your bag anyway? Why is it so heavy?"
Well. "Stuff?" I said.
We happened to be at some resto at the time, so he kind of just opened my bag and took a peek inside, and well.
The usual stuff, right? Doesn't look like a lot of things are in there anyway. Wallet, glasses case, a couple of pens, a pack of tissue, a notebook...
And then he came across this:
It's actually my 'beauty case' or whatever you call it, haha. It's a little big, perhaps, and he claimed this to be really heavy. I don't think it's that heavy, but. Anyway as you could peek from the picture, it contains just the standard makeup thingy, right?
Though admittedly, maybe I put in a little more than what I really use. But I don't want my makeup to be scattered everywhere, so it's easier to just put it in one container.
So what's exactly inside this red beauty case?
Okay, THAT's a lot of stuff, for someone who (used to) claim to dislike wearing makeup, hahaha! I do use these (not everything at once, of course) on an almost daily basis, though. Most of them are drugstore products, and they just kinda piling up overtime. Before I knew it, I have a bunch of makeup, hahahaha...
Shall we see what I have there?
FACE
- Rohto Mentholatum Face on Face Nourishing Loose Powder - Got this for free from a classmate, because it did not suit her rather dark complexion. It's actually pretty nice for an affordable drugstore product. Though because it's still new, it might not be available in smaller cities. Also, I'm not sure if it's distributed outside Indonesia, since it's made locally here.
- The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stain - I use this for blush on. I really like how natural and long-lasting it is :D
- Inez Color Contour Plus Blusher: 08 Gold Dipped Brick - This is a local brand, but it's quite good too. I like the color. I always think peach/coral/orange color suits my skin best.
EYES
- LINGMEI Two-headed Dual-use Big Eye Eyeliner - Better known as Harajuku eyeliner here. In case it's not obvious, I bought it just because of the packaging. It's a Japanese doll! Anyway for something so cheap, this is surprisingly good and long-lasting! The applicator is hard so it's easy for people like me who only have half-decent makeup technique :D
- Viva Queen Eye Brow Pencil: Brown - Just something I bought at a nearby mini mart. Even though it's a budget price, it's quite long-lasting and easy to use.
- Maybelline EYESTUDIO Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner in black - I think this is the first liquid eyeliner I can actually apply properly, hahaha.
- Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow: 03 Neutral Khakis - It's actually my mom's. Now that I barely use this quad, I'll probably give it back to her, hahaha...
- Too Cool for School Glam Rock Urban Shadow #7 Rock Black - Something I bought just because. I barely even use this though...
- Inez Color Contour Plus Loose Eyeshadow Powder: 02 Aztec Gold - this will last for YEARS, I can tell. Aside of being rarely used (it's very flashy!), the powder eyeshado has such a storng color that you need only a tiny wee bit of it each time you apply. I've used this a number of times before but it looks as if it's never used.
- Too Cool for School Up to You Multi Eyecolor: #1 Snow White, #4 Pastel Green and #6 Orange Coral - Koreans have funny names for makeup, don't they? Anyway these were actually sold separately, but they can be put into one box together. I should have bought one more so the position isn't awkward like that, hahaha...
LIP(BALM)s
- VOV Tell Me your Wish~!: #3 Coral Rabbit - Another Korean-made product. It gives a nice, tinted color (though it's more pink than coral) and smells really nice! My fave for now :D
- The Body Shop BORN LIPPY: Strawberry - Something that does what it should, moisturizing and giving a sheer color. Just enough not to look pale.
- Oriflame Tender Care: Vanilla - Bought this just because a classmate was selling a gift set containing four of these. There were Cherry, Chocolate, Almond and Vanilla. But two of my friends already claimed Cherry and almond so I was left with chocolate and Vanilla. I asked le BF which one he would prefer and he said vanilla, so. There it is. Anyway it doesn;t give any color but it smooth out chapped lips in an instant!.
LIP(STICK)s
Here comes the fun part. A couple of weeks ago, I met up with Ty from my old office. When she saw these, she was like, "Why do you have so many lipsticks?!" Hahaha I don't even know. But again, I didn't buy these within a short time range :D
- Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk #OR201 Amazing Coral - Another weird naming from Koreans hahaha. I'm torn about this one. I don't like the texture, and it's kind of drying if I didn't wear it with a lip balm. but I like the color. But it doesn't last long. But the packaging is cute.... *shot*
- Caring Colours Moisturizer Rich Lip Colour: #5 Pink Marshmallow - This one has a light, moisturizing texture, though yes the color is barely visible. It just blends with my natural lip color and will look like I'm not wearing lipstick at all, except for the slight shine to my lips. It does make my lips soft though.
- Revlon Colorburst Lipstick #075 Peach - My fave color of all. It has just the right peach shade that I like sooo much! It transfers easily though, and I drink like a fish so it wouldn't last that long on my lips :(
- Etude House Look at My Lips Lipstick #7 - Mom just gave me this one, because the color was too subtle for her and she didn't like it. Me? I'm all for subtle, peachy and nude colors hahahah. Though sometimes I want something brighter too.
- Shijing Kimono Doll Fruit Lip Balm - Had a hard time figuring out what the brand of this cutie is, since it's only generally known as "harajuku/kimono doll ip balm" here, hahaha... Anyway, this IS a lip balm, but I categorized this as a lipstck because it gives you a very vibrant pink color, so at times I really just dab it lightly to my lips to avoid getting that 'too much' color. Plus point? long-lasting color.
- The Body Shop Colourglide Lip Colour #49 Berry Shimmer - This one, I think, is one of the oldest of this bunch. I can't remember if I had this before the Caring Color one or vice versa. Anyway, I actually like the subtle color of this, but it's ow difficult to apply without a brush.
Here's an extra on what I'm using everyday too:
Etude House CC cream in Glow. I love this, it gives me that sheer coverage, just enough to even out my skin tone and makes my skin glow without looking like I'm wearing a mask. It brightens my skin a bit too, and it feels light on my face. Usually I'd use this and then put on my make up before finishing it with my loose powder so the makeup color would be more blending with my skin.
This is quite long-lasting too. My T-zone doesn't get oily for a looooong time. So yay for this :D

Anyway. That's about it. I notice that now I have interest in makeup and
skincare products. Maybe because I have more time for myself now, hahah...
Will probably write another #MeTalkPretty entry when i buy something interesting. Ciao for now <3
Bonus: A photo I took this morning :)
