"Right, just stand there in the target area in front of the giant laser."

After the Q&A comes a short concert, and then Tone takes the mike.

"That concludes tonight's User Interface show... but hold on, there's more! If you all would be so kind as to direct yourselves down the pathway back to the dorms..." She utters her trademark cackle. "There's a special event taking place!" The audience complies; the cackle usually heralds entertainment.

Enzo turns to Tyler. "You want to see what's up, or head into town?"

"...let's see what's up. Angie does that same cackle before the pig carcasses start flying." Tyler answers, after having thought about it for a moment.

"Would you believe her specialties are communication protocols and diplomacy?" he asks as they walk.

[tyler_marlocke]

"...bull pocky." Tyler replies. "Really?"

[a1enzo]

"...and psychological warfare."

[tyler_marlocke]

"...now that I can believe....The other two just beef up that one."

As they approach the dorm tower, they can hear music blasting. Somewhere about halfway up the sixteen floors, bubbles are pouring out of a window.

Tyler makes a sloooow look up towards Enzo.

...Then he's trying to run ahead to see just what the heck butt is going on here.

As he nears the entrance, a small, brightly coloured ball falls from somewhere above, narrowly missing him.

A party is, in fact, going on. It is just getting started, but Caret has managed to get here ahead of everyone else and is DJing (which means the playlist is guaranteed to be very interesting indeed). Near the lift, there's a vidwindow displaying a directory of the attractions to be found on each floor.

"...okay, Enzo, I definitely have to visit the plush pit floor." Tyler announces pointing to the list...and looking at the sprite who had been operating the lights before just laughing himself silly on the grass.

"...is he going to be okay?"

[a1enzo]

Enzo prods the supine figure with a boot. "You okay, Hugh?" Hugh waves him a thumbs-up. "Cool. Ex-roommate," he informs Tyler.

[tyler_marlocke]

"Alrighty..."

Pause.

"Last one to the plush floor has to tickle Dot!"

And he's running off.

"Oh, you wish!"

Enzo races after him. Tyler may actually have the advantage in this crowd.

And one other advantage.

Tyler's got a couple more years of experience using the grappler line, and thus with the familiar -thunt- is rapidly pulling himself up to the plush pit floor's entry window.

"Dirty trick, dude!" Enzo hollers after him.

He makes to ready his surfbaud, then thinks better of it. The Q&A just went great, and it looked like some of the younger girls thought he was cute. Let him go for now. Enzo's gonna check the directory for snacks.
