Below decks on the ship, the galley has been turned into a banquet hall for the occasion. On one side of the room is a long table laden with cake and candy and other sugar delivery vehicles. On the other is a substantial pile of wrapped gifts. The space in between has been cleared out so that Enzo will have as few obstacles as possible when he gets on his sugar buzz.

Muahahaha syntactic sugar. Someone went all-out on that cake; it's shaped like a replica of the ship, resting atop a sheet cake with blue icing in peaked waves. (Cyberspace seas do not do that, but iconography is one of those things that seem to leak down from Userspace.)

Enzo stares delightedly at the repast. Chips, shakes, soda, cocoa, a few actual healthy things for variety, and... is that...? Yes! It is! Digitized chocolate! "Alphanumeric!" Wonder how Dot explained that away to the civilians?

Simple, as a rare and exotic new confection developed by the Mainframe Research labs, the recipe is more closely guarded than her blackmail folder!

Speaking of which, her PDA goes off near her hip and she grabs Enzo before he can snag anything. "Hold on...one last thing." She taps the PDA and several Vidwindows pop up around him, counting down from 7...6...

"Oh yeah!" 3... 2... 1... Enzo shimmers, and now he looks what a User would consider to be about a year older. "Alphanumeric!"

And now chocolate!

There's a fresh wave of cheers and applause from the assembled crowd. "Congratulations, lad!" says Capacitor, giving Enzo a little-too-hearty slap on the back. (Be grateful he did it with his hand and not the hook.)

Enzo wobbles a bit, but thanks him. "Hey, have you tried this stuff?" he asks, passing the captain a piece of chocolate.

The Crimson Binome eyes the little brown nugget curiously. "Nay. What is it?"

"It's called chocolate. It's something we... uh... kind of discovered by accident. It's sorta like solid cocoa."

He nibbles on a corner, experimentally. His eye lights up. "By Gar, lad! Ye must have had quite a stroke of luck to come across this!"

Bob watches with a small smile on his face. "Is it any easier the second time?" he murmurs to Dot, sidelong.

Dot gives Bob a very, very sidelong look. He did not just ask her that.

"Depends on your definition of Easier."

In someways, better, no censors. In other ways... Less than easy.

There may or maynot be a pair of matching Bots zooming around the top of the galley playing around with their toy swords and eye patches.

"Yo-ho!" "Yo-ho!"

A cluster of actual pirates watch them dubiously. "Be they makin' fun of us?" "I can't tell!"
