[You most likely noticed that Sollux was acting chipper and really weird Tuesday. He was humming, doing chores, saying good morning to all who passed. He was obviously droned. Now, today you will probably notice a few things. 1) He has horns and a yellow-ish tone to his now grey skin. 2) His eyes are both completely black ( Read more... )

[Sollux seems different. He keeps walking into things and seems very disheveled. She approaches him and then sees his eyes]

Sollux! Are you alright?

[He smiles as he recognizes the Dolorosa's voice.]

Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just blind now but it's okay.

How did you go blind? [she puts a hand on his arm, her poor son] Do you require any assistance?

I was dumb and underestimated Eridan. We got in a fight and he overpowered me.

[He smiles.]

Yeah, I could use a little help. I'm pretty sure I have a couple of bruises from running into stuff.

[she frowns] Eridan hurt you? I have spoken to him here and he has always seemed very regretful of past violent actions, I cannot imagine he would then go and hurt another.

Come with me, I will tend to your injuries. [she pulls his arm lightly, leading him to the kitchen]

Yeah. He also did a few other not really good things afterwards but it's all okay now.

[He follows after.]

I will have to talk to him about it. Violence is a bad habit to continually fall back on. [and kitchen, she leads him to a chair and looks around the kitchen for a washcloth] If you like we can walk around the hive a few times so you are aware of where all the furniture is located and can navigate better.

I think he's alright now.

That sounds like a good idea.

I will speak to him regardless.

[She lightly dabs some of his bruises with a wet cloth, habitually cleaning the wound even if it did not break skin. She presses another cloth filled with ice against the worst bruise then brings his hand to hold on to it]

If you don't mind my asking, how exactly did he blind you?

We had a duel. I was using my psionics and he had used a wand that Kanaya made for him. His wand overpowered my psionics and I got hit in the eyes and knocked out. When I came too, I was blind.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. They say when you lose your sight that your other sense heighten to make up for it. You will get to experience the world in a completely different way now. You should make the most of it.

I'm not really upset about being blind, honestly. I have a friend who is also blind and I'm sure she can help me out.

I'm glad you have such a positive outlook on life.

[He smiles]

Things have been a lot more peaceful since I lost my sight, it's only natural that I'd be more positive.

The less things in your vision the less things are clouding your mind.

[He nods]

Before I was blind, I heard the voices of the imminently deceased. It was hard to hear myself think and even though I tried to not pay attention to it, it was hard to ignore.

But after I lost my sight, I lost the voices too. I can finally listen to myself think without screaming my thoughts. I mean, when I had a human body, the thoughts were gone and that was pretty peaceful but it's different now. I don't have to worry about hearing those voices again.
