Oh, dear. Richard. Well, I guess it's a good thing he was there to save Cara. Not that Cara very well needed help! (Haha, I could picture Cara saying something like that.)

I know everyone didn't want any Richard. But really, it was unavoidable, after all.

I really don't dislike Richard per say, in the tv show. I've never read the books for very important reasons, so I can't speak to that. But I guess the thing that bothers me about him is that he's obviously a wish-fulfillment character for the expected target demographic of 13 year old straight boys. But, if he weren't all in love with Kahlan and stealing her from my pretty Cara, I think Richard and I could be alright with each other.

I agree. I find him too "perfect", it's ridiculous. But if it weren't for the whole R/K thing, I'd like him alright.

Exactly! He gets to be Seeker, he's also like a super duper wizard and the emperor of d'hara and he has a super hot girlfriend that is absolutely love sick over him.

The only thing he can't do is freaking cure cancer!

That's why for me, Richard is best as sort of a psychopathic puppy. He likes shiny things and when gets angry he has righteous fury.

He is not an acceptable mate for the Mother Confessor dammit!

True that. She needs someone who can challenge her intellectually (as well in other, ahem, ways), someone more level-headed. Someone beautifully flawed. Someone who is in perfect sync, fighting style-wise. Someone truly worthy. Someone whose name starts with a C and wears red leather. *cough*
