[the camera takes a moment to focus, but does eventually; have a half-smiling Charles. he looks much better than he did before, for whoever found him in the cafeteria. he's much better rested, at least. there's a mogwai rolling on his bed in the background. he seems to be sitting on the floor.]
Aah, seems I've finally figured this out. Hello, fellow residents; my name is Charles Xavier, and it's a pleasure to introduce myself. I know our current situation is... unfortunate, to say the very least, but I'm very much trying to make the best of it, and I'd like to try and help you do the same. I know it's not the best of places, certainly not; I've heard nothing less than terrible rumours, and it's a harrowing prospect, staring down the likelihood that I will not survive it.
[he goes quiet for a second. he's unnerved himself, just a little. a little shake of the head, and he smiles again, though it's a very pale smile, to be honest.]
