17th Blur | Tommy Shepherd [Accidental Video]

Oct 11, 2011 11:47

[When the video jostles on, it's because it was tossed to the ground, giving a good view of a certain white-haired speedster being shoved out the door of his room into their common room. He's uh. A little less than properly dressed, wearing just a metallic silver speedo, showing off quite a bit of pale skin and lean muscle. He looks a little ( Read more... )

What sort of projects did you want to learn to sew?

Just... stuff. Something for a present for my girlfriend. [Oh god he's so embarrassed.]

[So cute! Emilia smiles]

I can teac you needlepoint or how to sew together small items.

[He's flushing a bit. Stupid pale skin.] How small? I'm having a bow made for Kate and I was... wanting to put together a quiver. I've got fabric and all that, I just... don't know anything about pattern-making or sewing.

That should be doable, though it will take you some hours of sewing to complete. I suggested something small in case you were being overambitious and wanting to make a dress on your first try.

How sharp are the arrows you want to store in it? We may have to get a small piece of leather so they don't poke their way through the bottom.

I dunno about that, I'm pretty fast once I know what I'm doing. [Speedsters, man.] Nah, I'm not into making clothes, I just want to learn for this quiver. It shouldn't be too complicated, I don't think.

Uhm... Probably pretty sharp. Don't have 'em yet. The fabric I brought back from Wonderland is pretty thick, do you think a double or triple layer on the bottom would work? [He doesn't know what it's called, but he's got some lovely thick, embroidered purple brocade.]

It's better not to risk it, especially if it's a good fabric.

[She taps the bottom of her lip, thinking.]

I know, how about we cut off the bottom of a water bottle? We can secure it inside and you won't have to worry about pulled threads.

It'll have to be bigger around than a water bottle, but a bunch of them layered in a circle or something would probably work, right? We could probably melt them to each other pretty easy if I just heat them up with a little kinetic energy or something. [Aww, look how enthusiastic he is.]

You could? Do you have supernatural powers?

Yeah, I'm a speedster. I can also accelerate molecular matter until it explodes. But I can also do it halfway and just heat stuff up.

Would you ever be willing to use that power to cook, if we obtained some ingredients?

Yeah, I could do that. [And have a smile. He is quietly gloating.] And Kate said using my powers to heat frozen pizzas was a ridiculous thing to do back home, hah.

Circumstances can make even the silliest things useful. If it does upset her, I won't ask for it to be done.

Oh, it doesn't upset her. It only upset her back home when she came to the lair to find pizza sauce all over the ceiling. In my defense, I was still getting the hang of things. I'm much better at it now.

If there's a chance of food on the ceiling, I may ask you to heat the first meal somewhere I'm not in charge of cleaning.

Would you like to come to my room to plan out how to make this? I've got quite a few empty bottles already.

Not much of a chance of that anymore, like I said, I'm getting better. Besides, I can just get my twin to magic up any messes I make. [He relies on Billy for clean-up way too much.]

Yeah, what room? I can be there in a sec.
