I'm guessing you already have plans for today then.

...No. I mean--nothing out of the ordinary. It's--uh--

It's my twenty-first.

We...can do something if you like. Unless you want to wait until after the trip. When we're back in the other Facility.

[redripoff]

[There's a long pause on his end.] ...No.

No, today. Can you meet me on the roof in three hours?

[notasidedick]

[He thought Tim ended the feed for a second with the pause.]

Huh? Yeah, sure. I'll be there. [Just don't expect him to be in suit. There really is no reason to right? Being on the roof is totally normal.]

[TOTALLY normal. Duh. That's precisely why Tim won't be in costume either, when Dick arrives. He will be at the edge of the car, sitting cross-legged and looking over the side--one hand protecting the two bottles of beer that he spent the last little bit of time procuring. Happy birthday.]

[Oh man, sitting on the top of a train to drink beer is ten times cooler then sitting inside the train and drinking beer. This is just classy of the Bat kind.] You actually went out of your way to get those? I feel like I should have done that. It's your birthday.

[redripoff]

It would have been a waste. [He admits over his shoulder.] I don't even like beer. [Regardless, he's twisting both caps off and offering one drink to Dick as he approaches.]

I don't usually have a taste for alcohol. But I guess everyone should at least have a drink on their twenty-first. [He takes a seat next to the other and takes the bottle offered to him. He's careful not to accidentally touch the other. He didn't want to accidentally see one of Tim's memories.]

[redripoff]

Cheers. [With equal care, he taps base of his bottle against Dick's before taking a drink and making a face.] Mm--sorry it's not cold. Augh. [Wipes at his mouth.

[There's a beat of silence that he can feel straight through to his bones.]

[notasidedick]

[He takes a long swig from it before holding it in place on his lap.] No need to apologize. Unless you wanted to make a stop and put these in the snow. [He raises an eyebrow as Tim makes a spectacle of himself.]

This is the last week being here. [A statement.] This experiment isn't too bad.

sorry, he's just making this as WEIRD as possible.

[redripoff]

[His teeth just tease around the lip of the bottle. He debates saying something about his own experiences with the experiment, saying something about the conversation between Dick and Jason that he tapped into, saying something about last week--but he opts to continue in awkward quiet.]

[There's a quiet pause from Dick before he speaks again.]

Are you going to talk to me or am I just going to make idle chit chat for the both of us? [It doesn't help that Dick doesn't really know what to say to the other right now either. Last week is pretty fresh in his mind for some reason. It may be because he's awkwardly sitting next to Tim.]

[redripoff]

Sorry. [Drinks and pulls away from the bottle.] No accidents this week for you?

[notasidedick]

[He glances at the other before looking down at his own bottle.] Mostly. I haven't really left the train so much.

Kind of had a bit of a scuffle with James though. How I found out about this week's experiment.
