[And then he makes his way over to the rec room.]

[He'll find Damian there, leaning against one of the emptier walls. he doesn't straighten up when he sees Sollux, but, he's looking.]

[Sollux starts glowing, red and blue faintly outlining his body. He's ready for a fight.]

There any particular way humans like to start one of these?

Depends.

Usually we just-- start [And he does. He plants a foot on the wall behind him and lunges forward, going low for Sollux's stomach.]

[Sollux was waiting for his attack though and manages to fly straight up into the air in a dodge attempt. As he does so he brings his hand down in a shoving motion, using telekinetics to try and force Damian to hit the ground, hard.]

[And he does, but his reactions are quick, and while he's pushed down to the ground, his forearms reach out to catch, and flip him forward. He finishes in a crouch behind Sollux, a bit disoriented from the psychic push, but regardless, palms a knife and throws it up behind him.]

[He turns to follow Damian's path of movement as he does his acrobatics, Sollux coming back down to the floor. The knife catches him off guard and he hastily and instinctively bats it to the side with more telekinetics, red and blue snatching the object just before it sinks into its target and making it clatter uselessly against the ground. Unfortunately acting on instinct leaves him a bit caught off guard and open to attack.]

Shit.

[And Damian is on him in a moment, his own instinct driving his movements, as his right fist is viciously aimed at Sollux's stomach. His left wraps into the material of his shirt, to keep him close. Not smart, if Sollux recovers, Damian's in the line of fire. But he wants to stay as close as possible, and get as much damage in, as possible. He's prepared for a beating.]

[Sollux doubles over as Damian punches him in the gut feeling totally winded, of course his response is to throw up a psionic shield to force Damian away from him. If he were smarter, or if her were trying to kill him he would have used the close range opportunity to melt him into the wall with a well timed eye blast, but he's far from a strategist when it comes to battle and he definitely does not intend to kill the other boy. The shield he throws up is strong enough to throw Damian into a wall, but it can't be maintained for long, not while he's weezing in pain and hardly aware of what the other boy is even doing. ]

[That works in Damian's favor, it gives him a brief moment to collect himself when he slams back into the wall, white light bursting in front of his eyes. The black kevlar suit from his uniform, which he wears under his street clothes, protects his body, but the back of his head might be bleeding. He takes no notice. He's too busy shaking the dizziness from his eyes before he lunges for the knife, turning back to Sollux, weapon aimed for his back.]

[No, he doesn't mean to kill him. If the knife makes contact it'll slide between his ribs. No intended death, he simply thinks the other needs a lesson. Only, he isn't certain what that lesson is.]

...is this okay?

[Sollux doesn't see the weapon, but he certainly feels it as it buries its way into his back, his vision flashes red and blue as the aura around him intensifies, yellow blood dripping down the wound staining the back of his shirt. He lets out an enraged snarl at the pain, throwing everything in the direction the knife had come from up against the wall and holding it there. He turns around and red and blue leak out from behind his shades staining the air with color and filling it with crackling intensity. The red and blue flashing glow that surrounds him responds in kind, sending what look like charges of electricity up his limbs and across his body in waves. He drags Damian up the wall until he hits the ceiling, pulling the psionic equivalent of a force choke and flies over to him, blood dripping off his shirt and leaving a small dark yellow trail across the floor.]

Do you even know how fucking easy it would be to just snap your neck right now?

[He snarls out, the words sound more like a feral growl than an actual attempt at

totally okay!

[Damian let's loose his own snarl as he hits the wall, dragged up to hit the ceiling. He's seeing stars but he's not humbled. He is very rarely humbled. Heaving, and feeling confined in the psychic hold, he looks straight at sollux through hooded eyes.]
