This week is fun. It's also a little gothy teen novel, but whatever. Here's a list I made, out of the kindness of my heart.

SOLITARY ACTIVITIES THAT DON'T SUCK
1 - Read a book. I get that the library is small, and just a little out of date, but whatever. Good books can be reread and half of you need the English lessons anyway.
2 - Solitare.3 ( Read more... )

Congratulations, your reading comprehension is that of at least a sixth grader. I think shots are in order.

Irony is really fucking lost in this place. Makes it harder to be a jackass effectively.

It's a joke. I was making fun of you because, yeah I'm suggesting you go find a goddamn deck of cards if you're bored.

[Any meanness has gone right over Tommy's head. You've actually captured his attention.]

so how would someone go about learning lockpicking or hacking or something? i don't think there are any books on em here or everybody would use em.

Lockpicking I got through trial and error. You get locked out so many times, you learn to really like the stoop, or figure it the fuck out for your self. Alternately, you could scale a building and break a window. That usually results in more yelling, though.

Hacking is pretty much the same thing but on a computer. Learn code, learn to recognize the operational systems in use, apply knowledge to ill (or good) ends.

...because i can totally do all of that here. although i guess i could practice trying to keep someone out instead. but tim lectures like a mom or something, that's no fun. [Yes, Tommy rambles, even in text.]

how am i supposed to learn code? not a tech person.

... Timberly's secretly a girl. That's why he does that. But shhhh, don't tell anyone.

But no, seriously. Lock yourself in your room or something. Or have someone else lock you up and try to get out. You learn better when there's some sort of motivation, so maybe try to work that in? I don't know, figure it out.

You apparently know Tim. Ask him.

How can we learn about lockpicking, toxins, sharpshooting, and stuff? My brother can teach me about hacking, but I'm interested in the other stuff.

Trial and error, though I don't recommend that with the toxins. For that, you'll want a good, old fashioned chemistry book and a lot of rats. Sharpshooting is pretty simple once you find a gun. It's just practice and steady hands.

Huh. I bet my papa knows more about poisons. Do you know where I could find a lockpick?

No idea here. But you can also use a safety pin or a hair clip.

The cards are all gone, I've already looked for them in the rec room. [Not that he doesn't have anything to do, he does.]

I didn't say they were in the rec room, just that some greedy bastard had to have them.

Don't suppose it matters anyway, I could make my own set if I wanted.
