Personality: Inuyasha is rude, loud, and prone to boasting. His language is crude, and he is often demanding. When he doesn't get his way, he'll yell and threaten to make people do what he wants. Insults are second nature to him. The first impression of him is usually of glaring gold eyes and yelling. Rash and impulsive to a fault, he will run right into danger.

He is also incredibly loyal to those close to him, willing to die to keep them safe. While he may scoff and try to play it down, he does care about what happens to them. He's also curious, and while he's not educated and is rather crude, he is intelligent. When he's with those he trusts and the rest of the world can't see, he does have a softer side. He's had a hard life, rejected by almost everyone he has met, and does not trust easily. Since meeting Kagome, he has met others that he can trust, and he is becoming more comfortable with having other people in his life.

History: Inuyasha's mother was a Japanese princess, and his father was a demon lord. His father was killed within an hour of his birth, so he never knew him. His mother died when he was very young. His only living relative, his older half-brother Sesshomaru, rejected him because of his status as a half breed. Inuyasha grew up on his own, fighting to find food and avoid becoming food in Feudal Japan. He wanted to be a full demon, like his half brother.

Inuyasha heard of a jewel that could grant his wish, and went to find it. The Shikon jewel was protected by a priestess named Kikyo. She didn't kill the half breed, but let him live. Inuyasha followed her, at first to get the jewel, then out of curiosity. Eventually the two became friends, and then fell in love. Kikyo did not want to be the jewel's guardian, and if a selfless wish was made, the jewel would disappear and she would be free. She convinced Inuyasha to wish on the jewel to be human and give up his dream of becoming a full demon, so they could be together. The night she was supposed to meet him with the jewel, she was attacked and mortally wounded by what appeared to be Inuyasha. Dying, she found the true Inuyasha and pinned him to a tree with a sacred arrow. The priestess died, and the jewel was burned with her.

Fifty years later, Inuyasha was awoken by the priestess's incarnation from the future, Kagome, who had returned to his time and brought the Shikon jewel back with her. Inuyasha attacked her once he was freed, trying to steal the jewel, but another priestess put a rosary on him that made it possible for Kagome to subdue him by saying 'sit'. The jewel was stolen by another demon, and while trying to recover it, the jewel was shattered.

The shards had to be gathered, and Inuyasha followed Kagome, calling her his 'shard detector'. Once all of the shards were gathered, he could make his wish and become a full demon. Eventually the treachery of that night was revealed, and Inuyasha discovered that Kikyo had not betrayed him. He was conflicted between the two incarnations of the same soul, feeling loyal to Kikyo, but having new feelings for Kagome. It was his wish to protect Kagome that allowed him to wield his father's sword Tessaiga, and cut off his older brother's arm.

The shards were gathered and stolen and lost, friends and enemies were made, until eventually the demon that had tricked them that night 50 years ago managed to collect all of the shards and recreate the Shikon jewel. Inuyasha and his pack, along with his older brother Sesshomaru, fought with Naraku. Kagome was pulled inside of the meidou, and Inuyasha followed to save her. Kagome's complete faith in Inuyasha saved her and the jewel was destroyed, but she was returned to her time, and Inuyasha to his. In her time, Kagome is going to high school. In Feudal Japan, Inuyasha is continuing on with his life in the village with his friends, and watching the well to see if Kagome will return.

Roleplay Sample - Log: This was just weird. And considering the things Inuyasha had seen in his life, and accepted as normal? That was saying a lot.

The infamous fluffy ears twitched as he stuck his head out the door and looked around. Everything smelled . . .fake. No plants or anything that smelled like the outside. Just that kind of burning smell that he knew from Kagome's house when her mom was cleaning. That woman cleaned a lot. He looked around the room, not seeing anyone or any sign that there was anyone else alive in this place. Now what?

Inuyasha went back to the room he started in and glared at the machine that was glowing on the desk. He had seen one of those in Kagome's room. You banged on it until it did something interesting. But she got pissed when it started glowing blue. She didn't let him touch it after that. Edging towards the laptop like it was a poisonous spider, Inuyasha poked at the keyboard.

Roleplay Sample - Journal: a;lafkj Fucking thing. Looks like that thing from Kagome's time, the one on her desk. You just keep hitting the clicky things and stuff happens. Fuck, just popped one off with my claws. Better not need that bit. Where'd it go?

And where the hell am I? Kaedae-baba is gonna' want to know where I'm at when she wakes up and I'm gone. Am I in Kagome's time? I don't recognize anything, and everything smells weird, but this sure as fuck isn't my time. Don't have these clicky things there.

Inuyasha has no weapons, all of his abilities have been nerfed to 50%, including speed, strength, and healing. If he goes to demon form, there is no change in strength, but he can lose his mind. Don't worry about Tessaiga being missing. He can use his basic attacks. General guidelines are here.

Join a_facility, a_facility_log, and a_facility_ooc. The comms are moderated, so you'll have to be approved. Mods are on duty for the rush on Fridays, so it shouldn't take long.
