I hear the words

Jul 14, 2011 14:27

Who: Timothy no-last-name and Alex Forbes!
When: Saturday around noon, stretching into the evening just before the reset.
Where: Tundraful and beyond
Summary: Someone's under strict 'don't go out alone' rules, and through conversation with another, they've figured out a loophole. Shenanigans occur.
Rating: PG-13 because Alex is here, and he's likely to throw in a few choice words.

There are two pairs of footsteps, two human looking shapes practically gliding across the ice with how grave the situation is. Both of them possess little to no experience with weapons of any sorts so the general agreement is to 'run like hell' if they come up with problems. It had been maybe ten minutes since they left the train and already they had run into trouble. Behind them is a monstrous creature, traversing the ice on all fours. It screams at the two of them, encouraging them to run faster by doing so.

"This might have been a bad idea--"

"Stop talking!"

Pulling ahead, Alex realizes his slip and curses himself for it but as its more convenient to shout instead of type, it's not so bad. He glances to Timothy at the reply and meets a serious panicked look with his own. They're making good time until Alex jerks forward from a cough - he fumbles to the ground, spits out some blood in the process.

Coming up from behind, Timothy approaches Alex and in one fluid movement picks him back up, urges him forward and back into the escape with a shove, gentle but urgent. They're running again, and Timothy's keeping the lead this time, long legs helping justify that.

"It's no longer a buddy-system if you get eaten!"

The redhead stumbles but this time he's keeping balance, glancing back to the ruin behind them that offers a warning call of some sorts. Looking to Timothy, he tries to keep in a laugh at their situation and how they had predicted this happening long before the actions came with this. Sounds turning into his expression, Alex only offers a grin to Timothy as they run, hopefully reaching safety soon.
