So we come to the end of The Wolf. I kind of got unmotivated to watch it towards the end. It was also around the time that I started playing Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. So I was basically exchanging one form of bad entertainment for another.
Eps 40 - 45
FL and 3rdW2 get married. It's a marriage of convenience since FL was kidnapped by ML and people started gossiping about their relationship. Even if it's a marriage of convenience, 3rdW2 should at least shave or grow a full beard, right? Like, just commit to a look.
Juxtaposing scenes of FL getting married are scenes of ML about to be burned (smoked?) at the stake.
Look how far those faggots are from him! He's totally getting death by smoke inhalation instead of burning.
Bird Witch Lady saves him and it's revealed that she had always respected ML ever since they were raised tortured together by their adopted evil emperor dad. Derp...where was this respect when she was trying to kill him (according to previous plot reveals)?
But screw Bird Witch Lady saving his life. ML is going to attempt suicide by slavery after his suicide by war failed. I don't know... are we supposed to feel sorry for him? Or these other slaves? Ai-ya, and this bad line delivery girl and probably the most useless new character to be introduced and just there to irritate everyone with her annoying voice.
But if ML is suffering, FL isn't having a good time either. Even though she agreed to marry 3rdW2, she's totally friendzoning him and acting like their marriage means nothing.
"FL, I think our marriage is missing something."
"What? What could you want out of our marriage asides from sitting here reading and figuring out how to rule a kingdom?"
"Now, buzz off and let me get back to reading."
I HATE women like these in these historical dramas. If she wants to friendzone this guy, friendzone him. Don't agree to marriage!!! And then get amazed that affection and sex comes with that pact.
It's especially poor on FL's part because she's good friends with 3rdW2 and 3rdW2 didn't force her to marry him. She agreed of her own free will. Why do this shit to a friend? It's shitty on so many parts.
For strategic reasons, FL and 3rdW2 want ML on their kingdom`s side so they plot to rescue ML from slavery. Except what's FL`s plan? She just bravely rushes into danger and...I can't even say fall into a trap. She just runs head first into the enemy and have no plan to get out. Both ML and 3rdW2 have to come to her rescue.
Fucking idiot.
Eps 46 - 47
3rdW2 friendzones himself because FL is too much of a mess to deal with (my words, not his). But he's much better off, honestly. And he tells 3rdW1: why chain himself to FL forever if she doesn't love him? Both FL and ML are noble idiots and deserve one another. He's better off finding other fishes in the sea (or other stars in the sky) or whatever. Besides, there's more to life than just love.
3rdW1 says what all audiences are thinking: he's the coolest guy she's ever seen (in this drama). And that's by default because all the other guys suck.
Since 3rdW2 gave FL permission to stop being married to him, ML and FL make up and play house for so long! Is there an editor to this mess? Then FL start asking ML whether or not he ever fancied other girls while she was away.
Lol @ ML's "this bitch" face.
They're already talking about living happily ever after, loving only each other forever and ever and she's still pouting and pretending to be jealous. It's not cute nor is it healthy in a relationship. But of course, they don't have a healthy relationship. The whole time, he's still thinking of going off to die somewhere without telling her. Yikes. And, my gosh, the two of them just go on and on being incredibly draggy and boring.
Eps 48 - 49
The third wheels are getting together! A few minutes in and they're already more interesting with less mess than the main couple. Lol, 3rdW1 said she wants to `silently protect` 3rdW2. He's getting his own stalking thrown back at him.
And silently and creepily watch him eat.
So weird. Bird Witch is suddenly everyone's best friend and general good guy. Didn't she try to kill ML? But now she's on their side? I liked her better when she was giving FL the stink eye all the time.
And 3rdW2 also comes up with some random plan to kill the new evil emperor by himself. Lol why? So random. It changes nothing in the plot and it's all so he could show up randomly and be a third wheel at the end.
The last episode is a mess. After these archers shoot at ML, they talk about how they're loyal to him once he single-handedly breaches their wall. Like, if they were so loyal, why shoot him in the first place?
Useless fairweather followers.
And lol, this poison FL took gives her super fighting powers?
I mean, dang! Look at all the useless soldiers she killed! What kind of crazy poison was she on? How useless were these soldiers?
Lol, ML and FL sacrificed so much to save 4th prince, but just left him tied up in the rain with a bunch of dead bodies. This drama, man!
"Derp...will one of you come back and untie me? Or tend to my wounds? Don't just leave me sitting here with 2nd prince's dead body!"
There's and ending montage that explains what happens to everyone else after ML and FL died.
The only one that matters it that the third wheels end up traveling the world together with their unmessy relationship. That's nice. Wish the story was more about their unmessy relationship than them being third wheels to ML and FL.
Certainly don't try to watch the montage to the end, where the drama decides to try to gouge viewers' eyes out with one last CGI atrocity.
Now, what drama can I torture myself with next?
