I've been watching the figure skating World's Championship recently (finally catching up with live sport) and that got me thinking about skaters and the programs I used to enjoy.

I think certain male sports (like figure skating and gymnastics) are less popular in the US because they're too gay. So men's pairs would be way too gay... or some sort of Will Farrell (?) comedy.

But I'm pretty sure China is even more behind on gay rights than the U.S. and men's pairs is totally cool (apparently).

They probably just don't think its as gay... like historical dramas?

But men doing stuff together is seen as less gay in non-US countries?
