To make a long story short, someone e-mailed me and asked "is it going to rain tomorrow and what should I wear in case of rain?"*
So I gave him an answer: "it might rain, so carry an umbrella. But there's always the chance it won't, but just have an umbrella to be safe."
He comes back with "oh, but I thought it's not going to rain tomorrow and I don't need an umbrella."
Well, why did he ask if he already know the answer?
Like, I just don't understand people like this. I'll also have people ask me a question and then, after I answered, tell me "oh, I already asked the attorney and he told me this." Then why did you come asking me after you already spoke with an attorney?!? Like, I wouldn't think of even calling my doctor's office and asking the receptionist a medical question if the doctor already spoke with me.
Is it to catch me off guard so they have the satisfaction that I don't know as much as an attorney? Well, I don't**, because I'm not an attorney! Is it to get a second opinion? In which case, the best bet is to get a second opinion from an actual attorney and not the paralegal!
* Not actual question as actual question involves lots 'o immigration procedure explanation that I don't want to go into.
** In most cases.
