"nothing deters us"
thursday night before we all left base for the weekend, we had a briefing from one of the base commanders who came and told us that there was a major terror attack in india, and specifically that a chabad house was among one of the targets attacked and that they believe there were israelis being held hostage there.
my dad has lots of indian friends. he and my step mom were in mumbai last year for a wedding. they stayed at the taj.
if people want to truly know what real heroism is, go and read some first hand accounts about how many hotel workers were killed as they shielded guests with their bodies trying to protect them. and about the head of the mumbai police anti-terror unit who was one of the first on the scene and who was killed as well.
i know for many young liberal americans my age, the whole "war on terror" thing has become so politicized that it's become a complete joke to them. i just have to say on the record.....it's not.
