wow.
ok. first of all, characters. i have SO much love for a lot of the characters in this film with VERY FEW exceptions.
THE TRIO: they all have good lines in this movie. God bless the writers. and :gasp: Ron actually has lines! quite witty ones at times. "it's been known to happen." lol. dan rad makes the BEST facial expressions. when snape first describes occlumency to him, his face, priceless. there was only one scene in which i was pissed!gaaaar! @ hermione: when she attacks harry in the beginning and is all bhcbjncmlsmalkf! exasperated! it was incredibly fake.
SNAPE: omg!totally good! i heart him. ^ see comment about occlumency ^ oh and was it just me or was he wearing a skirt/cloak?? idk. moving on...
LUNA: she made me smile so much. <3 she was perfect, and although i wouldve loved for her to mention the quibbler and all that. i forgive them for not mentioning it b/c it's really not crucial to the central plot. at least not for the film.
SIRIUS: :sob: omg. my eyes welled up and my lower lip quivered but i did not cry. and YES! his death was anti-climactic. but uh...it was the same way in the book too. at least for me anyway. (i remember having to read it like 3 or 4 times before i finally figured out how it happened b/c it was so hard to visualize. + i LOVED seeing "snuffles" even though the totally called him padfoot instead...w/ev. ps. sirius's dog-hair pimp coat - used to cover up his nekkidness - was da shite.
MAMA BLACK: was actually in this film! well, her voice, mumbling something about "blood traitors"
KREACHER: aw i liked him/
TONKS: imagined her slightly different but she kicks arse anywho, VERY CANON.
SHACKLEBOT, ASSORTED ORDER MEMBERS: completely useless except for the fact that they are eponyms. oh and shacklebot's line about dumbledore's style. well, no, that was purposeless too. but i liked it. so there.
UMBRIDGE: awesomely cast. ehem, ok i must refrain from referring to EVERYONE's performance as awesome. but she played it well. passive-agressive psycho. *hem hem* she made me laugh a lot.
GRAWP: way more adorable than i imagined. i thought was going to be uglier and more savage. and (thsi belongs up w/ the trio cmnt but) ron was TOTALLY crushing on hermione in this film. it is SOOOOO obvious. which is AWESOME of course.
THESTRALS: ok, granted, NOT characters. hm... i liked that they were actually included in the film.
DUMBLEDORE: ok, first disappointment starts here. althogh gambon is toning down his RAWR!dumbledore somewhat. he's still not playing dumby nearly as dumby as i wouldve liked.
BELLA: ugh. n/m i'll pass cmnting on this.
LUCIUS: condescending. =D
RODOLPHUS: was actually in it!
VOLDY: fiennes is great. and i love how he shows...hmm..not fear exactly, but like he's taken aback by dumbledore. i can't pinpoint the emotion now but i know what i'm talking about.
anywho, the plot, although many scenes i wouldve loved to have seen were taken away (weasley is our king! D= ). it flowed and made sense.
By far my favourite of all the movies, I must say.
