What is that? I need to get a hair implant so that I can walk around looking just like every other person in this world? I need to change something about myself to look "normal"? Nah. No thanks. :)

Ignore/forgive them for they are just trying to be funny on another (non-livejournal) board.
You're very pretty. However, it's unhealthy to form these little cliques where you all get into the club by virtue of your appearance. You think it will help your self-esteem? It will not. It will undoubtedly have the opposite effect in the long run. What if you base all your self-esteem on your looks because it's the easy way? Then what if you get older and they start to fade? Or worse, what if you come to think the only reason people want to be around you is your looks? That's an awful place to be.
Please find a healthier group of friends, and develop something else you can be proud of (perhaps you have - good for you!) Do well in school, make it into adulthood without getting pregnant, learn how to sculpt or write a novel, study to be a veterinarian or a firefighter. Whatever it is, please stop reading glamour magazines and trying to join these sad little clubs.

yeah, I completely understand what you are saying. My best friend is in here & that is my main reason for joining. Thank you for taking the time to reply to their comments though- it means a lot to me. :)

This page has inspired a motherly tone I once took for an 18-year-old girl, in a similar theme. If you are interested in the long version, I've reposted it to my LiveJournal.

Maybe we all do have our friends, we have developed something we're proud of, we do well in school, we're not going to get pregnant, and we know what we want to do with our lives.
You're incredibly hypocritical to actually take time out of your life to tell us how to live ours.

i know this is a little late, but why on earth do you care what the rest of us do in our spare time on livejournal?
it doesn't sound like you are a teacher, it sounds like you want us to conform to your views. just let people be themselves and do what they feel. it doesn't matter what communities they join. as long as they are happy with themselves and their lives.

I am convinced that it is the duty of children to suffer as much as possible emotionally, so the rest of their life doesn't seem so bad in comparison.
By the way, have you ever tried pear-flavoured syrup on pancakes? Sweet Jesus, it is DIVINE!
