"Had enough yet?"

I looked up from my drink to find Madsen standing over me. Made sense, I guess. Carly and Sam were out the door, and Dan and Arianna were dancing. I was the only person left to talk to, and the fact that I was drinking heavily and wearing an uncharacteristic top that didn't leave much to the imagination were probably Madsen's big motivators.

"For what? Dancing?" I'd mentioned it in passing, I didn't think he'd take me seriously. I smirked and glanced back at my nearly empty glass. "I'm getting there. Usually it takes me a little more, but I think they're slipping gasoline into the drinks or something."

I shrugged and finished up the last of my drink, which was my third Russian. I was done with mixed drinks for the evening, it all tasted the same at this point. Kip had already bought me a beer and set it down next to the glass I'd been drinking from, so I didn't hesitate in moving on to the next drink and leaning against the bar, mirroring Madsen.

"I didn't think you danced."

Well, that's it. Looks like I'm my own party for awhile. Carly and Sam had left the bar completely, and I'd been Carly's "boyfriend" long enough to know what that meant. Sam was about to get very, very lucky. Carly didn't really have any reservations about keeping sex in the bedroom. With her, it was wherever, whenever. I always liked that spontanaeity, though it's not the only thing I liked about her ( ... )

"I am completely perfect right now, what about you?"

She's completely perfect? I could have told her that.

"I'm good."

'Completely perfect' is pretty damn good. I've never heard anyone refer to their feelings like that, though it's a simple way of summarizing my own attitude right now. Although, if I was going to be entirely honest, I'd admit that I'm almost completely perfect. Not only is Arianna completely perfect, she's almost completely drunk. It's hard to tell if she likes me, or if she likes alcohol, and her liking me is the result of too much of something alcoholic that she likes.

But I'll take this.

I let her stay on her feet for two more songs. I would have kept going, but I didn't want the gorgeous drunk to take a spill and embarrass herself.

"I think we should sit down."

I led Arianna over to a stool and held her hand to help her keep her balance while she sat down.

"Do you want anything?"

Black coffee, water, something solid? I'll get her anything but more alcohol.

"I didn't think you danced."

"I dance." Dude, what makes her think I don't? Is it a look or something? "I totally dance, completely." I'm a little drunk right now, but still, I dance!

I looked over, getting myself another beer and drank it down, better lay off the JD just for a little bit if I'm going to talk Alex into dancing. And since Carly's not in the room to ruin it all with her Snowflakeyness, I can get away with at least trying.

Dude, how great is that plan.

I looked over at Dan and Arianna and grinned. "Someone's gettin' laid tonight." Arianna's totally going to make a move if she gets anymore drinks in her.

Now let's just not let Sammy and Dan be the only lucky boys.

"I think we should sit down."

"I think we should..." Oh wait, we're moving already before I can stop him. But I like dancing! Dancing is fun. I like dancing. Dancing is...

I'm sitting now. Why am I sitting? Did Dan put me here? I think he did...

"Do you want anything?"

He probably means coffee doesn't he. But the only thing I'd probably be allowed to drink is black coffee, and that's so gross. "I want... I want... Another drink."

I got up and went past him. "Kip! I require another drink. Smirnoff okay?" I haven't had that in ages. I like that. "The orange kind. Do you have that?"

He gave me the drink, and I fought with the cap for a minute, and drank half of it. "Thank you Kip, that was very nice of you." Everything's spinning a bit...

"I want... I want... Another drink."

I should have known that was going to be her answer. I should have, but I was too busy trying to figure out if she needed to be taken care of. I got my answer. If she doesn't need me to keep her upright now, she will when she's done with whatever she ran off to get.

"Kip! I require another drink. Smirnoff okay? The orange kind. Do you have that? Thank you Kip, that was very nice of you."

Smirnoff. That's what she ran off for. After she finishes getting plastered Arianna is either going to like me a lot more, or requre medical attention. I'm hoping it's the first one. Medical attention would scare the hell out of me.

"Are you in a hurry to get a hangover?" I teased, shaking my head a little. "Don't rush so much. We have all night."

"I dance. I totally dance, completely."

Alright then. We'll dance. I was already on the drunk side of tipsy, and I knew it wouldn't take long for the alcohol to catch up to me completely, so it was probably a good idea to make use of my legs now while I still had control over them. I was kind of hoping I'd have to be carted home in a wheelbarrow by the end of the night. I don't normally drink this heavily, but after the shitty week I've had, I'm all for drowning my woes in liquor.

"Someone's gettin' laid tonight."

I followed his gaze and spotted Dan and Arianna, who were seated at the bar again. Arianna looked like she was way ahead of the rest of us as far as alcohol went.

"Unless she drinks so much she can't stay concious, probably," I agreed with a smirk, getting to my feet and leaving my beer behind on the bar. I grabbed Madsen by the wrist and started leading him out towards the dance floor just as Carly and Sam came through the front door again. "Come on, let's dance."

"Unless she drinks so much she can't stay concious, probably,"

"He'll stop her." Dan is way more responsible than most of the guys I know, which is completely... something. Dude, I don't even know what to call that. When I first met him, I sort of thought he was gay or something. Doesn't show the slightest interest in the ladies.

"Come on, let's dance."

"You got it." I grinned at her and led her out, even though I just saw Sammy and The Snowflake getting back in.

Whatever dude, it's not like she's noticing yet.

Life is good.

"You better start enjoying this thing."

"You got it." I let her go to the bar, better not to protest after what just happened. I knew that SUV was a good buy, even if it's a little too Wonder!Dad for me.

... And my sister is getting even more drunk with an orange Smirnoff... She's going to have the hangover from hell tomorrow morning. I'm sure Dan'll get her home though...

I don't want to think about what could happen afterward.

I really don't.

I sat down next to Carly, ordering myself something else non alcoholic.

"I need to make up for lost time. Give me three of the strongest thing you have."

"You're really going all out..." Probably the wrong choice of words, but still, she'll be drunk in a good ten minutes and probably won't remember much of anything in the morning.
