My favorite part about last weekend?
Witnessing a moment shared between two parents, in the middle the clean up efforts and clearing out of the camp. They met, both with some question in their manner, some concern. They reached and then they looked, and then they actually saw each other. You know? He saw her and she saw him; and whatever it was they were concerned with at the moment, paled in the face of the One. And the world stepped aside for the moment and they looked and smiled, and there was no one else but the two of them. For a long moment he looked at her with the timeless eyes of a twenty-year-old, crazy in love with his wife.
I tore my eyes away from their private moment and turned to the bustling crowd in search for something to do.
