I bought my ticket for Miyavi's Chicago concert yesterday! I'm super excited that I'll get to see him again, this time at a smaller venue! And Meghan found out that she will be home this summer, so she's coming with me. It should be awesome, just like the time we went to the Ayabie concert.
This past week seemed pretty long, so I was super glad it was the weekend. Yesterday was fun. I went over to Emily's house for part of the afternoon. She had a number of people over for tea and mahjong. Most of us had never played real mahjong before, so Emily taught us. I really enjoyed it. I even managed to win a round. Then Jamie was in town, so we skipped anime club to have dinner with her.

1. What was your favorite experience while you were abroad in Japan?
I had such great times there that it's really hard for me to pick just one single experience. I would have to say that one of my favorite experiences was seeing my favorite band, the GazettE, in concert. I'd wanted to see them for so long, and it was great to finally have the chance to do it. The band was amazing and the audience was really into the music, so the concert was really intense. I just let myself be carried away with the music.
2. If you could only listen to one musician/band for eternity, who would you choose?
This is something that's really hard for me to answer. By default I would probably say the GazettE, since they're my favorite, but I don't think I'd be happy listening to just one type of music for the rest of my life. Rock music is great and all, but sometimes I just like to listen to really awesome dance music, like Lady Gaga.
3. What's your favorite cosplay you've done to date?
That would probably be my Axel (from Kingdom Hearts) cosplay. Axel is just a lot of fun to dress-up as. I like all the pleather I get to wear, lol. I also have a fun pair of boots that go with his outfit.
4. What did you want to do for a career when you were a child?
For a while I wanted to be a vet, but then I realized that I was too squeamish. Then I wanted to be a paleontologist because I loved dinosaurs.
5. If you were to buy a rename token, do you have a general idea of what sort of username you'd pick?
I'd change my name to rinlin. I already use it as my handle in several other places online. I've long since stopped using this one because I chose it in jr. high, and it doesn't really fit me anymore.
