Am officially now obsessed with Georgette Heyer novels. She writes regency stuff (like Jane Austen, only easier to read and, I shudder to say it, with slightly cooler heroines) and also detective-y stuff (like Agatha Christie, but less stuffy ( Read more... )

Lost in Austen is basically filmed fanfiction (the Austen Blog ladies were not impressed!) from ITV. Amanda, the heroine, accidentally steps through a portal in her bathroom and swaps places with Lizzie. Hilarity follows, with Amanda being a huge P&P fan and her presence really, really screwing with things. Apparently you will never watch the Colin Firth series the same again!

I keep hoping, but regardless, I am going to get my hands on a copy. I mean, surely the ABC will click that this would be Of The Good, but I'm not game to email them in case they crush my fragile hopes.
